View Full Version : what torque setting for hub nut?
what torque setting for hub nut on my phase 2 R5, only reason i ask is ive had to replace the bearing as the guy i brought it off failed to do the hub nut tight, this allowed movement and shagged the bearing.

yer ft, urm 180nm should do it
ok then thats cool, as i will be using a breaker bar i just didnt want to strip the threads or anything daft.
its more like 250nm isn't it ?

pretty sure its not that high, would look but my haynes is at work
if you do em up too tight you'll end up crushing the bearings.
just had a look at the haynes and it says -
driveshaft nut - 250nm
rear hub bearing? - 160nm
sweet , i knew i wasnt being stupid , checking on how tight to do them. so 250nm it is
