if its right time of the month for my pocket might be able to make first event :smokin:
I have been a bit slack arranging the old events of late I must admit!
Sooo is it a rolling road day at Pete's place that people fancy? I can always arrange this. As Russ mentioned - we would definately need a certain amount of cars going on the rollers as he wasn't too pleased last time.
Or...
How about a bit of Karting action in Deeside? I went with a few lads/lasses from work last year and I had a brilliant day. I'd have to look into the cost and how you'd have to pay etc but again I can arrange this if people are interested.
Let me know what you guy's fancy and I'll get on the case.
I remember years ago lomo doing a carting day, that was great. not done deeside so up for that too. I think we could have both if the organisation was split between a couple of guys - not fair to ask you to do both alex :)
I remember that day myself - excellent day out as you say Scoff!
To be fair It's not too bad getting the events arranged and organised etc, but if anyone else fancies giving me a hand I'd of course be grateful.
I'll make some enquiries with Pete and also look into the karting situation and post back...
:)
i'm up for doing another tour ;) might make it a bit shorter this time! LOL:ashamed:
i remember it was at warrington ,its £45 quid a head at warrington for the grand prix style race , its always good to meet at tweeks and then go petes , :)

so what are people thinking then? is it to early for a rr as people need to get there engines finished and are that fed up with winter they would like to go carting and a rolling road later in the year?

think you will find that was me mate.
not an easy thing to do as you need to book well in advanced and pay 50% at the same time. well that was for warrington.
the big one at warrington is ment to be good if you get the two add on's
sorry macca, your right it was mate, I remember lomo won which is what made me think of him.

Greetings all! Long time no speak! Yep, it is a circuit but I heard you need your own kart to go in it! All rather pip pip tally hoe and all that malarky...So I heard anyway..I'll have a better look/word when I get chance. I need to defend my title anyways! Defo need a meeting this way, been way to long...:)
I've just had a chat with The Circuit in Deeside and (as Russ posted) it's £35 per head for the Grand Prix. Each driver is guarenteed a minimum of 5 races and it's £35 deposit (which I can pay if we have enough numbers/people interested) The rest of the money is payable on the day.
http://www.thecircuit.co.uk/index.htm
Having been myself last summer I'd say it's well worth it
So what do we think?
:)
it's £35 per head for the Grand Prix
it's £35 deposit
The rest of the money is payable on the day.
Right.. Totally confused!?
Regardless of how many drivers there are it's 1 x £35 deposit, which as mentioned, I'll pay.
Then when you lot turn up you pay your £35 and that's it.
Aah right, sorry
Yeh, I'm up for it :agree:

Ive been on the vauxhalls track and its better than any other ive seen, deeside is like a kids ride at the fair compared to it. its a great place and £15 for 10 mins not sure about grand prix days or anything. the only downside is that they dont have timing equip or lap counters, they just flag the winner and thats not completely accurate, espeacially after a few people spinning off it gets a lil messy. so much fun though. ive been 3 times now and would recomend it highly.

Someones run out of champagne!;)
Haha. Tasted of victory :p
It was a good day wasn't it!
I'll sort another one out for later this year - watch this space.
I think it would be even better if we could get a few more people to attend the next one, maybe even bring a Renault Turbo with them aswell!
I nearly brought my red one, but some last minute problems meant I didn't want to risk it. But yeh - my mates were all like 'where are all the Renault 5's?'
