There's a foot of snow in my garden, I have NEVER seen anything like this! I had to abandon my car on the way to work and walk home, and it looks like plenty of others have done the same.

And to top it off, i've just seen some bloke going through my village on skies

DaveMayGTT
02-02-2009, 09:32
lol, i wonder how long hes had those skies waiting for this very day to come.
I had to abandon my van at bottom of the hill and walk to work as did lots of others, never seen it happen before.

I was up at 4:00am this mornin to drive to Barnstaple & got as far as the A1/M25 Junction before i called it a day & drove home!

Nothing could get up the sliproad at the junction so i figured rather than just sit there & freeze i'd go back home!!

Some of the truck drivers deserve a slap though! I wasnt getting any traction in my Mondeo so driving very gingerly at 10 - 20 mph & next thing a truck came by at about 50mph!! :jerkoff: Good luck stopping that mate! :dearme:

Surprisingly, for the first time in years, I woke up to snow outside of my window today! The last time it snowed as much as this was back in 1987, and it's actually sticking! Driving to work in the BMW was pretty sketchy, even in 3rd gear on a hill was skidding pretty badly going around 5mph

i remeber once droppin of someone on the tiniest little slope in a street and my whole car just slid away...i was in the brown pants club.
i hateeeeeeeeeeee drivin in the snow because of that.
so dangerous and as for those big lorry drivers...its ashame so many die because of guys like tht

I crashed my Rover last night, going a whopping 5mph, I must of slid about 50ft, down a slope aswell, the car just wouldn't stop. I actually hit a car that had already crashed though, so the other fella didn't seem bothered:laugh:, and by the time I bumped into him I was only doing about a foot a second. Not a scratch either, I just got out, checked it over, spoke to the fella and drove off.... Awesome.

Well after canceling todays lesson's i decided to go to tesco and get some shopping.

The drive there werent to bad, on the way home took a de-tour via a quiet industrial estate and boy did i enjoy yanking the hand brake and getting some serious side ways action.

Around the corner i cam along 2 police car's...they to were playing about in the snow. :D

Be safe everybody.

Plenty of snow down here for a change, usually crap with living so close to the sea. Work expected me to survey in this weather, i think not  Been out on site & the roads are down to crawling speed even though the main roads are clear.

As for cars if i used my r5 daily id drive it nae bother. Last time i used mine in the snow i recall it sliding all over the shop, proper fun:D
