Any thoughts on if there is or could there be a GTTurbo register? Some place for peeps to look up an old motor by reg etc?
Id love to find out who had mine in the past as all ive got is rumours about what it did (hillclimbing)/where it was(scotland) before it made its way down to Wales (Stage Rallying)

There is a raider register app on Google play but no such similar for the normal gt turbo. It's something the club might actually do soon, as there are less numbers every year. ;)

Would that need the history of every car collected and collated?

How would that be done? What software?

Who hosts the Raider register?

Is it only available on a phone?

With so many 5GTT's having 11 or so owners, and not much response being the usual response when asking owners, it would be slow to make progress.

The "other" site has something like this, a Wikipedia if you like of all Renault Turbo cars that members have owned. It's like an editable document that members can access and update with the history of their cars, past and present. I quite like the idea personally.

Seeing as we are the official r5gt oc, is it something we can implement?

Might pay to get in touch with Jon Pinckney, he's the developer of the Raider app on android playstore, his app is very usable and makes for a good storage medium.

Good info. Is he on here?

No Jon Pinckney or Pinckney according to the search I just did.

But Jon is registered 52 times and I'm not going through those one at a time.

If he was in the RTOC would he not have mentioned it at some point?

This isn't something I can do, I'm not into social media, apps on the phone, etc.. I can only just about use Facebook, but never on the phone.

So would one, or a few together, of you chaps like to have a go at this?

I guess this really out to be in the wild, not members only, but if it could say, but RTOC, rather than by Jon Pinckney, that would be enough to promote the RTOC as a club as well as provide a free service to those who want that? Does advertising it's pages pay for it?

I presume he is a programmer and wrote that for himself to make a few quid though advertising? Has he have going a few, or a load of, phone apps?
