About 4 weeks ago I picked up a clean black 225 megane, now the only downside to it was a lumpy drive and alot of smoke, done a few tests and no compression at all on cylinder 3 so I decided instead of rebuilding the engine I would just source a decent engine and luckily enough I got an engine from a rear ended meg 225 from a newer reg and less miles and a bonus it had the belts done in the last 2 years :-)

Instead of alot of waffle Ill upload pics to tell the story

Great project James. Was the car cheap enough? Wouldn't mind one of these as a future project.;)

Yeah the car was pretty cheap but having done what I have done the cost soon add's up.

Still need to work out how to bleed the hydraulic clutch on it,

My clutch bites quite high up. I think it's bled ok though.

Same here, the bite point won't change as the clutch is self adjusting
