Thought I would start the obligatory who's got what left to get ready for RTOC National Day 2016 @ Santa Pod Retro day 2-3rd July.

Ill start with a small list,

1) Run in new engine,
2) Burn of the 5ltr's of coolant that went down my exhaust and is currently still in my back box:cry: already done 6 miles and it still smokes (no coolant loss though),
3) Sort Valver Hubs for modification of GTT speedo sensor,
4) Mapping
5) can't think of a 5th but will be something

Get O/S outer sill replaced, replace N/S driveshaft, good wash/clean up inside and out, buy beer/bbq stuff, throw tent and rest of stuff in the 5, buy tickets and fuel, job done! :smokin:

Insure the car. Should do it today really.
MOT :scared:
Clean it up. It was used as a shed for a long time so it's pretty messy inside.
Sort out the rattle from the front bumper/exhaust.

Not too much really :)

I'm not sure I'm going to be able to attend this year, but if I do....... nothing! I'll just give the car it's yearly wash and load it up with camping equipment (beer) and make sure nothing is hanging off it.

A few people have got buying their ticket still to do!

There are 9 weekend tickets left and 21 for Sunday.

What might happen is members will expect to buy them in the last week and will be disappointed.

Once they gone in the last minute rush it'll be too near the event to buy and stock more. And we have to pay the full price for more, not the pre-February price.

And there's currently only about 20 cars on the stand so far due to so many guests coming in members cars or in their own non classic.

So, if you are a member and want a ticket, bet get it sooner than leave it too late.

Well mine might not even make it since putting the new engine in have only had it idling and I have covered 15miles :-( slow driving and got a bit of coolant pressure issue :-( either a cracked block around bolt holes or head). Its not H/G as its brand new.

I have sourced another block and it's crack free, but the time issue will be the machine shop doing the work to the block in time :-(

MOT passed!
But now I've got ball joints, fuel filter, oil and filter to change.
One big project at work and a wedding Friday means it's going to be tight

A friend has offered to lend me a ball joint splitter and I've ordered all the parts bar the oil so it could be done this week.
Going to see a buddy about some welding tonight too.

All the mechanical jobs are done on the car now :) it feels much better with new ball joints.
Just need to wash the car now. I might just do it in the morning before we head off.
