carb worrys

Ok i took apart and rebuilt myr5 carb, i never really fell to see how much resistance the throttle had on it before i did the rebuild, i changed the seals on the throttle spindle (little green things) and have the carb back to gether, however when operating the throttle it does seem quite stiff. I know the carb return back to idle position through use of a spring however how tough is that spring and is what im finding normal ?

Check you have the cable routed correctly, not snagging on anything

the carb isnt actually back on the car yet, just sat next to me,, wondering if i didnt push the seales into the recess hard enough, allthough i made sure they were home as far as i could get them, maybe its just them a little bit stiff.

ok ive sorted this problem now, took the throttle spindle to bits again, removed the seals , put a little of vasaline on the edge, and pushed them in , this time they slotted in slightly further, and put the carb back together and i have a nice freely rotating spindle :)
