got stopped by the police at luch time the day ,first time ive been stopped in 15 years :(
needed to nip out for some lunch and there was no works vans available so i jumped in my car , drove out from my work whilst lighting a fag then slipped on my belt , 10yds down the road i looked up and there was the jam sandwitch with its lights on :crap:
sneaky ****ers , i didnt even see where they had come from it was like less than 1 mins driving without my belt on and i was had , i did think about arguing but i bit my tongue when he told me it was just a fine and no points i accepted it ,i always thought it was points for no seatbelt ?
I normally always have my belt on before i drive off as if im in the van at work and on site you can be sacked if not wearing your belt , minimum wage security guards stand around all over the site with speed guns thinking they are brilliant , the limit on site is 15 mph but in some places its 5 and the van i drive only registers from 10mph and up :confused: so im normally well aware about my belt / speed
Result I'd say ...I'd have done you for driving without due care and attention :cooter:Lighting me fag FFS ;)
Unlucky mate. Im having no luck with the police and cars these days.
A fine isnt too bad! Still sucks though.

I was in the Trophy not the 5 , i think ive just been lucky , its a matter of time before i get pulled for that plate , although ive done 1 trip to bruntingthorpe and back with no plate on the front and ive done 2 trips down south with the small plate with no probs :cool: ill keep it on untill i get pulled then worry about it ;)

Two years ago I got ticket here in Finland. I was speaking to my cell phone when officers stopped me...ticket was 40€....damn...quite expensive conversation in phone :crap:

As if that wasnt a post to cause a stir, although in a lot of cases seat belts cause more harm than good,, harness's are the way to go when propelly fitted . I have a lot of big built tall mates, that refuse to wear a seatbelt as they find due to the size they fit so badly.

i got a ticket for not wearing a seat belt, left a shop car park and went straight across the road into petrol station didn't put it on cos i was gettin out again after 10 secs but a copper was sitting in the petrol station, watched me get in car turn it around and drive across the road and stop on forecourt, that's a piss take but a fair cop cos i was technically still driving on the road in neither direction!

I just DONT understand people that dont wear seatbelts... I was taught from the day DOT to wear mine... its just automatic when I get in a car.

i got a fine for illegal number plates, but no bigger than the section 5 public disorder act one i got when the vosa bloke lent on my car to fill out his for. so i got a 30 pound plate fine and 90 quid for having a pop a the vosa bloke i was warned three times but did get my point accros.
My old man and sister where involved in a head on crash .Both were belted up .Sister broke both legs and Dad had the biggest bruising from the belt I've ever seen :eek:
But the other guy wasn't so lucky ,no belt and straight through the screen and DOA .
Don't know why you sold that sexy tungy one!
Needed funds at the time my friend!! ile be back on the road in a 5 soon... gotta make it quicker than the vee though!!! tall order!

I always well seat belts/harness's.... if u have ever had to use them you would never go with out!
