Newbie - 5 Turbo Raider

Hi Guys,

Ive had a weak moment and purchased a car I've always loved since i was 17, a Renault 5 GT Turbo Raider.

Picked the car up Friday from a really nice fella called Ross in Poole, now looking forward to looking after the old girl with a trip to a few car shows and the occasional weekend spin.

Be interesting to see if the car is known on here and value any opinions.

Not going to mate. All original apart from filter and dump valve, and had a good rebuild in engine. As all 26 year old cars needs a few small things done but really nothing major. She's booked into a independent renault specialist next week for a check over and fluid chance and thier reviews are amazing 👍

Excellent mate. I would remove the dump valve and re fit the standard air box. You will be surprised at how much better the car will drive!

Also who is the specialist?

Where can I get an original air box from? I was keen to do that. I've got it booked it at a company called Two Techs in Dartford l. If you read their reviews they come highly recommend. Also not sure if the fan is cutting in any suggestions?

Your raider looks great. Where did you pick it up from?

Mike at gtturbospares can get you an original airbox. Get it refurbed and it will look ace!

Well I am only in gillingham bud so not far. Let me know if you need a hand.
