Hello Folks,

I had hoped that my local stealers had one in their treasure trove, but it wasn't
to be as they'd had a clear-out. So, now I have a tidy engine bay and clean
gearbox, I'd like to help keep it that way.

Regards,
Steve

I could do with one too steve although I will not pay a ridiculous amount for a lump of plastic sheet.

I have fitted one on mine but I am 99% sure GT's never came with them fitted and their a retro fit from another model.

What happened was the mechanics doing the PDRs would remove them and not
replace them. Apparently, our local stealers had several of them in their loft, but
someone had a clearout and they went...

...to the dump :cartman:

As for paying loadsamoney, what I might end up doing is getting one fabricated
from sheet aluminium, it might be a cheaper option.

BTW, if at some point you get the chance, it would be good to see a picture of
what it looks like in place and where its fixings are.

Steve

There's definitely a thread about these somewhere with pics and discussion on fitment.

Will have a look around :agree:

Paul is right, these weren't factory fit on GTTs.

I might have an ask about other 5s//Extra/Clio 1s at the dealer.

Nice one Charlie. Any idea of the part number? Wonder why the gt didn't have these fitted? Maybe heat.

I kept all my invoices so should have it, I will check and post asap. Not sure why they weren't on the turbo but nice job when fitted and no problems with over heating.

How much are they?

Lowiepete

How much are they?
About £85 without the fixing kit - that's another £10 or so.
I think that #2 in the Dialogys system might be a bit better,
as that seems to have better drain hole positions. Not sure
how much they are - need a Part #...

Steve

172 phase 2 attached it's only held on in the corners with 10 mm bolts, the rest of it catches the lips of the subframe. The big hole in it allows access to the sump bolt

I think I only paid about £36 for mine, the fixing kit is only 4 speed clips and 4 bolts.

They also come fitted on cars with two other sections over the wish bones.

Mike, thanks, I've had those pieces for ages. Happily I bought them before their
prices went astronomic

Having got the gearbox looking like a work of art, I'm hoping these pieces will help
keep it cleaner for longer.

Steve
