got the beast on the road last week, passed nct! A problem
Has just come out of no where though! When I aceleratre it stutters
At first for just a second and now all through accelerating!!
Any ideas?

could be dampness in the dist.cap especially if it was laid up for a while !!?

no, but strang you say that, I put a new dizzy cap and rotor arm on yesterday!

fuel filter, carb full of ****e, ???

When was it last serviced, plugs, leads etc ??

im in kilkenny next weekend i'll call round saturday and take a look for ya and get some more points on my license for speeding again:burnrubber:
clean out the fuel filter inside the petrol tank you can get to it from under the back seats??

hey, that's awsome! I got it on the road finally, drives great! Are you bringing one of the 5's over? And any ideas what's up after I fiddled with the dizzy?

sorry, missed half what u said. Fuel filter under the back seat gottcha! Any thing else to check?

fuel filters underneath the car next to the fuel pump, its the sender unit under the seat.:)

the sender has a gauze filter at the bottom inside the tank where you find its blocked up with dirt;)

i found alot of my hesitation was due to the spark plugs or dampness in the dizzy cap but if you replaced dizzy then you could allmost rule it out and when was ur fuel filter replaced that also can cause hesitation

The carb fueling or jetting should be set up correctly as well ,:)

i had this same problem...was my plugs....changed them over no problem at all...they were fouled like mad because of over fuelling
