As above, can these Main Cap Bolts be reused? If not, do I need to get them direct from Renault?
I've never seen any discussion down the years on here about having to replace main cap bolts because they are single-use or anything like that.

Me neither, but just checking as it's the only bolts I haven't got new replacements for.
I have reused them previously.
Like trev, I have never read that they should be replaced either...
What's the torque settings for them? 30nm or something... Can't imagine them being too strained with that.

:agree:
I also never replaced any main bearing cap bolts, re-used those, Rod bolt's though different story
if they don't have angle torque settings then you can reuse them.
but for the price of new ones used to be cheap so if its a big build then £10-20 in bolts isn't going to hurt.

Re use for standard power. Replace if upping power. Remember the bolts will have seen 20+ years of use.

I know what you're saying, but it's getting hold of some. I'll try my local Fastener place, but worried the material is a bit different to your normal high tensile gear?
