Door solenoids/other models?

Has anybody fitted/modified newer or other model door lock solenoids to their 5?

Clio mrk 1 look very similar? but obviously nearly as old as the 5 ones.

I did rig up a couple of universal solenoids once to the arm/wire which goes from the door lock to the handle inside the car which had plenty of opening force but tbh looked shoddy even being behind the door panel,be much neater if another renault unit could be used?

Not sure on this matey. I doubt Renault would have changed the solenoids too much for at least a good few years after the mk 1 clio. Maybe look at the new twingo?

If solenoid/door locking pins are not going all the way up/all the way down to unlock/lock doors then would also check locking mechanism in the door. If this slightly sticking it will make it harder for the solenoids so usually removing the mechanism and soaking overnight in diesel, cleaning up re-greasing and re-fitting will help. ;)
