I need one, kicking myself I didnt buy one when they were £15 delivered, no way Im gonna pay £120 for one defo... :crap:
Must be a way we can get them made up
I start laughing on facebook more and more by the day, have you seen prices of people selling parts?
This scene is ****ed!
i would not bother for such a flimsy piece of plastic which is not fantastic, they go super brittle after a short while anyway!
:disagree:

It is getting silly, problem being is that the amount which come up on eBay for a lot of parts now are few and far between but bets on loads of people still have them but not bothered in selling them on. I have only just started putting some things on eBay and I am guessing not even 0.1% of items I have I have put on there so far
Although the scuttle cover example is ridiculous, I think it's a good omen that people are so keen to keep GTT's going that they are willing pay silly money for parts. It suggests there might be a longer-term future for the cars as the monetary value in refurbishing/fabricating spares will encourage a continuation.

Let's end this now shall we.
I paid £70 for one which I fitted, £100 for a spare (I have payment proof).
I also paid £270 for a brand new gear knob (genuine phase 1) and also £90 for new gear gaitor.
I appreciate my asking price is not what it was 3 years ago, I needed these parts so paid the prices when they evently popped up for sale, simple.
I'm selling for pretty much what I paid for it.
These cars have shot up in value and to tbh I have to pay to play, same as everyone else. I'm not going to sell parts for peanuts that I have paid top money for.
That's just how it is now.
The last one I was watching finished and sold for £200.
So, I got mine cheap in comparison
Oops, I hadn't even realised this was a classified ad thread. I was just adding to the chat. Apologies fastevo. :ashamed:
I don't believe anyone here is having a go at you personally. The chatter is in respect to the crazy current market supply/demand situation for R5 spares, typified by the prices you've had to pay for the parts you listed there. It is becoming 'ridiculous' to re-use my word above.
It looks like your scuttle cover price fits in with current market trends and I think you'll find a buyer, so all good. :agree:

I bought one new just after they disappeared from the dealer shelves and felt ripped off @£25 delivered! :D
Glad I did now.

Fair play :)
It is what it is. If you've got the parts stashed away somewhere you're sitting on good money. Or, you could use them on a resto yourself like markg and have a nicer example than most for less than some have paid for new parts @ current prices.

Yep that's mine, happy with that, lost a tenner after fees but that's ok.
Tbh, I'd have held onto it. They're so fragile and rare now.
Still, the funds can go towards some OE mats! :D

I don't hoard, don't see the point, I have some filters, service parts etc. But it's not like I'm gonna damage a scuttle cover now I have a new one fitted is it!!
I do need a battery cover though...

Yeah mate, thinking of making a cardboard template then getting some black perspex or an old house for sale board, trimming it up and painting it black, take 20 mins to do. ;)
