View Full Version : Standard shocks
Does anyone know if standard GTT front shocks are still available from Renault? and if they are what they cost?
Yes they are still available. Think its close to around £100 - £120 for the pair as seeming that its £140 on ebay delivered.
Ah great thanks. I saw the ones on EBay which made me think that they may be still available from renault direct (for less) I will give them a call tomorrow. :agree:
I may aswell order some other parts at the same time. So does anyone know the part numbers of the rear quarter window catches, hinge rubbers seals, clips etc.. Basically all of the parts to fix the quarter windows in?
Check the dialogy pages I loaded up ;) rubber seals not available now and rear window catches not sure on current price but was available little while ago one side more expensive that the other
Ah no wonder the price has shot up on them they're now £50 for a set of the rubber seals!
I had a look at that thread, I found the hinge part numbers but no seals? I know I have seen the part number somewhere on here though.

The catches were approx £15 the pair (11 & 4). Now NLA one side and that one side available is about £17.
Only rear seals available fir £2 each. If you trim the hole, you can use these for all positions and re-use the plastic. Inners are still available.
So are all the inner seals the same, front and back? Its mainly the outer seals that have perished and a couple of inner seals missing. I don't think the catches are too bad, but with the amount of play in the rubber seals, its not clamping the window up tight, and popping open.
What's the part number for the rear outer seal? It doesn't seem to be listed in that drawing, part 15 says its a clamp?

You want part 15 for the rear.
See if part 12 is still available. The kit isn't but the seal on it's own might be.
You also want part 8 for front inners. I bought as a pack of ten. They're pennies from memory.

Mike and bob sell them for less than dealer prices.
I've bought off of Mike but the part numbers are different to what the dealer told me. I need to double check what they're off.
You're looking at approx £75 a corner from dealer.

Awesome.
When will you know if you will be getting them? I phoned Renault today and they told me all of the window fitting parts are not in stock. And wanted £162 a corner for shocks. :crap:
They are working through the list at the moment, 300 part numbers might take a while :wasntme:

That's for a pair.
I'll find my list later for you and clarify.

I asked if that was for a single shock and they said it was. To be honest they weren't very helpful at all, the guy I spoke to was trying to fob me off from the start, not even wanting to have a look without a chassis number. When I told him I had the part numbers there was a sigh on the end of the phone. I was tempted to go through all 20 odd parts I had on my list knowing that some were no longer available, just to piss him off for being so unhelpful, but thought better of it. :D
Bought some from Mike now. :agree: I've got a busy weekend ahead of me now.

Matty, you've got no time for hobbies. Get welding tube!:D
Haha tell me about it, I've been working 70hr weeks for the past 6 months!
I managed to convince the missus that I HAVE TO lower my car in the name of product research, to check the fitment of these exhausts. ;)
"....But I have to fit a bigger turbo and fuel inject it, to make sure everything still fits..." Will be the next line.
