Once my engine is out I will be making some adjustments to my cam timing. I have a std engine with 285cam etc.
My previous turbo setup was a T28 with 0.49 rear end. I set the cam to 110deg for this. The car was mainly used for back road/country lane blasting so I chose to time it this way to utilise spool and get on boost as quick as possible. My preferred routes didn't have great straights so it was difficult to rev to 7k+.

My new setup will involve a vnt.

So my question is...... What have you guys set cam timing to when running a vnt?

I would like maximum power, so do you think 114deg is ideal? Or maybe stick to pipers recommended 112

If it was me i would stick to the 112 piper state, not much point in retarding the timing with a VNT imo. Since you will most likely be at full boost by 3k rpm regardless.

With my 60 trim T28 I have tried 110/113/116 and my o e comp lump with the 60trim T28 makes the most power/tourq at 113 ;)

My came was 108 originally but now it's more like 112-114 with a moddified big Vnt front billet comp wheel and the biggest turbine wheel they could fit before it clouted the vains

Getting this done today...... One queery though!

I think I set timing last time around to the inlet valve of the piston at water pump end. Is this correct, or is it flywheel end
