Looking for a really good solid usable 5 and saw this one on ebay.

The seller has little history for it and its on its 17th owner.. otherwise seems ok.
Anybody here shed any light on its history. The owner reckons it was a members car :scratch:http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Renault-5-gt-turbo-restored-to-near-mint-condition-genuine-bidders-only-/321803397085?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_3&hash=item4aecfa27dd

I,m in no rush to buy the wrong car but this may be interesting at the right price.

That's the last auction it was on. Not sure what is up with the car though as pictures look good enough, but for somebody to spend all that money on the car, to leave some of those hoses in the engine bay I do wonder what else has been missed with that car seeming that he has loads of items for sale on eBay I am sure he has replacement parts for them

If you want to restore one, I think finding a low owner, low mile car is worth it. That's why I ditched the Raider. No matter how much money I ploughed into it, it would still have 15 owners and 115k miles.

Also, that car should be a lot more mint than that IMHO, especially as he clearly knows his way around a 5. I've heard Carlos mentioned before, but never realised it was that seller. It all clicks now.
