Might be a daft question but anyone know a way I can remove the piston liners without having to buy a piston liner puller tool?

Or if I do in fact have to buy a puller, can anyone recommend one or a brand that won't cost a fortune, there seems some sketchy eBay items kicking around??

If it makes a difference, I'm replacing the liners that I'm removing.

They come out very easily once the pistons are removed.

Assuming you have removed the sump, the conrod caps and then pushed the pistons out of the top of the liners from underneath, you can tap each liner from underneath and they will come out without too much effort.

Make sure to get the correct new liner seals (and seat them right with no twists) when you come to put the liners back.

They can be pretty tight to remove (I managed to break one once! :sad2:) but like Trev said they just push out.

Thanks guys. I feel a little silly now, I was a little hesitant about being a rough but they basically fell out.

And thanks Trev, I'll bare the advice on the seals when I come to put liners back in :agree:
