As my 5 is a 1986 "C" reg, I have been wondering how I might find out when it was first registered. Would love to know if it was one of the first ones in the country. Any ideas? Cheers.

Ah! Top man! Means it has a birthday coming up! :)
Anyone got any idea about dates in terms of what month the earliest Phase 1 cars were registered?

Have seen a test drive article for a red phase 1 that was first registered on 14/2/86....Guessing this was one of the first in the country.

My car was registered in October or November 1990. But on the release details from Renault it says in model year, 1991?

As it was so close to '91 being Nov '90. :)

Ŵell, I've heard of the next years model being launched late in the previous year, but I was thinking why would they bother? It was nearly the end full stop!?

There is a thread somewhere discussing what the oval plate can tell you about what number each car was off the production line. With members comparing numbers to see who had the earliest car and what cup race cars had stamped on them etc. Will have a search for it.
