What is the position for the side decals on a ph2 R5, does the decal start from the bottom of the door or does it line up with the line on the panels or just below? seems to be in different places on all the pictures I can find...
OE seems to be slightly lower from the crease line, not sure what mm the gap is. :)
The top of the decal is within a couple of mm of the lower crease in the door/rear quarter.

ok looks like the decal starts from the bottom of the door line. I think i'll lay them on with masking tape and put a few pictures up to get some confirmation. then it could be made into a how too as well...
That could compliment the 'how to get them off' guide. :)

I'm sure mine were a half inch below the crease... I took pics year ago for someone but my pc dies so there long gone...
Mine are along the bottom of the door and they're too low. Split the difference. Should be about 4-5mm above bottom of door and same below swage line.

:agree: Mine are a little high they need to come down as above, still look good though

I had to ask this late last year when getting mine fitted.
They're in a different position to phase 1 graphics. Roughly 1/2 to 3/4" up from the door bottom.
Possibly you can make it out from this pic, if not I could take a better one for you tomorrow.

I lined up the decals in 3 different positions and took some pic's, seems like the general consensus is going to be no. 3?
1. Top of decal on line of body work

2. Bottom of decal on bottom of door

3. Decal equal distance from line and bottom of door

Just measured 20mm from the bottom of the sticker to the bottom of the door, which still has the original sticker on. So for me pic 1 looks the right position for them?
Good pics Jeff :agree:
Stephen, any chance of a close up pic of your car like the ones above?

20mm up from the bottom of the door puts the sticker a couple of mm below the line in the body work at the top.
6.07min onwards in LowiePete's video seems to confirm this also https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F5UhiSyMfFM this is the best shot of an original decal I can find on the internet, I've done some searching  I think i'll go with this position.

Sorry for the delay! 20mm from bottom of door and 95mm from the line on the door! Hope that confirms things?
Thanks
Steve

Your welcome! I've enjoyed your thread as it's progressed, car looks great!
Steve
Steven, can you be more precise please? :D
Great pics. :agree:
Now, who was it who first said the top of the decal is within a couple of mm of the lower crease in the door/rear quarter? :wasntme:
