View Full Version : 24/5/15 RTOC World Karting Championship North West
As per the last few years I have organised another event of fun for us! Same place as before and same price - £45.00 per driver. This is a full Grand Prix event on an MSA outdoor track - very fast! It includes heats and a final. Theres a trophy for the top 3 drivers.
Track info is http://www.hootonparkcircuit.co.uk/
I have paid the deposit so the rest will need to pay the circuit on the day. You don't need to bring anything with you as the circuit will provide race4 suits and a helmet
THE EVENT START AT 13:30 on 24/5/15 - PLEASE BE THERE FOR 13:00 AT THE LATEST FOR THE BRIEFING. I will be there earlier.
Any questions please let me know.

Well, I've done a few jobs on the GTT and all is good. Just bought 6 months road tax so I'll be there in it
I have an alternator to fit and a few coolant hoses then MOT/Tax/Insurance. This week coming is my last week in uni.
Fingers crossed It should be all sorted by the end of next week. :agree:

No rain please it was hard enough trying to keep the kart going straight lol:)
MOT sorted :D
Barring any drama's I shall be there in the five :agree:
Fingers crossed Roy :)
:( turbo will not be here until next Friday. will be in a Renault though. nice one phil on getting yours back on the road.
Bummer Roy. Still, at least you're still come and that's the main thing.
I just have to drop the oil tonight and put some decent stuff in and give it a good clean. Might go out and do a bit of boost setting up. It's still set at 24psi need to drop it down to 20 as this lump is higher comp than my last so might not be to happy with big boost. Plus its only done about 3 miles so I'm bound to get some teething issues.
I'm really looking forward to it tho gents :agree: A decent run out in the five and some karting to boot. I will have to warn you all tho, I look like a proper aids victim. The crohn's has been kicking my head in for a good few weeks now and it's stripped even more weight off me. If that's possible
So what I'm trying to say is less weight = faster kart!!:D
Mojo, let us know what time your setting off could meet up at darwen services :agree:

Meeting my mates at 10.30am see you in the services at 11am :agree:
I was a bit gutted when I woke up this morning and looked outside, however met office says that it will be dry at hooten park by 10am. :agree: Hope they are correct. :)
 now the bloody clio wont start. had a issue last week where it would not see the key just kept a red flashing light after a few try's and it was fine had it checked and no faults were found no this morning just keeps flashing its red light thing is both keys are doing the same thing. so might have to give this a miss. gutted as the wet weather would have made things a bit more interesting.
Roy that's a nightmare mate. Is there another car you can borrow? Keep trying!!

Something I didn't mention to anyone....... Since I've been doing these events I've been bringing along my brother in law, Brendon. It became our little yearly thing we did together. He's also been to ND with me.
Unfortunately Brendon died suddenly on the 25/3/15. So I'd like to dedicate my little win to him. While we were karting I was actually carrying a little bag of his ashes on me. Here he is finishing 2nd to Phil last year

Lump in my throat reading that Alex..........:( such a shame with him being so young. It was only fitting that you took the top spot and did it for him:agree:
