View Full Version : Rear window replacement dry fit or with mastic bonding
New tailgate want to put in window this week but seen in the manual need too use mastic bonding.
So should I use this as I thought going in dry would be better.?
Also where do you put the water hole in the rubber seal bottom left..?
Thanks
Wouldn't use any bonding when putting in the rear window. Lots of liquid and a piece of string, real easy to put in the window.
As for the water hole, it will only go in one place on the bottom, if there is only 1 you will either have the rubber wrong way round or upside down if its at top I guess.
Thanks just as I thought will go in dry. But that manual saying different so just wanted to ask to make sure thanks!! :)
You never want to go in dry! Paracord with washing up liquid is what you need for this job. And a second set of hands.
Hahah I mean no bonding ;) going to sort the main issue out first Friday timing will let u know how I get on Alex. Thanks
