Had my phase 1 on the rollers this morning, thought it would make around 160@flywheel but it made 198bhp with 207 torque at about 19psi at the carb top! Well happy with that :) thought it was going well!! Must be this cold weather helping

Good result mate, especially for only 19 psi!

Thanks mate, yeah that's if the gauge is acurate! It flutters around quite a bit :crap: I might move it to the carb base? Should be better??

Way, that's a good result. As the others have said, she must be quick :agree:

Yes Trev quick enough for me! I don't know how you would get the power down with over 200bhp! It's all over the road as it is!! Maybe I need better tyres or better driving skills

That's a really nice looking phase 1. It's nice to know that you can make 200hp with a side mount ic. I have a massive front mount on the car I just bought and personally don't like it. I want a nice side mount so I can fit a standard bumper on. Good work mate

Thanks mate! It's a Gttuning bread bin I think there probably the best standard position inter cooler you can get although I did suffer a bit of heat soak on the second dyno run! Probably get a bit more air flow on the road though as the fan at the dyno was quite small.
I think side mounts are ok for road use but if your thrashing it round the track a front mount is defiantly better! The cosie cooler behind the grille seems like a good bet!:agree:

There are front mounts that fit behind the standard bumper (leaving it looking OE from the outside), the best of both worlds :)

I shall look into the cossie fmic, it sounds ideal. My huge ktec effort will be for sale shortly

I think there are bigger and better ones than that too Beng. There have been loads of projects on here fitting various FMIC's behind OE bumpers. Difficult to know what to search on to find the pics/advice though.

I do remember Bood's car had a brilliant Cossie FMIC mod:

I'm thinking about a front mount behind the original bumper now:) Then I can put the air filter in place of the old cooler win win :agree:
