Down pipe no as the anit roll bar will just slide over the exhaust gear selector yes and then just 4 bolts 13mm two inner and two outer anti roll brackets.
Weren't there two different ARBs fitted by Renault from the factory, having slightly different diameters? Some have the slightly smaller and some the slightly larger?? Is it 19mm and 21mm, I can't remember. A good search of the boards should help :agree:
Thanks guys.I have had a search and your right Trev.I will wait till the bar is off before i purchase the bushes.:agree:
Let us know how you get on Casper. Would you tell us what diameter yours is, where you get the bushes from and what they cost? Helps keep things current on the boards :D
Will do.:agree:There are three different sized bushes available 19,21,23mm.Just to :confused:make it easier.
Cool.
Weren't the 23mm ones only fitted to the diesel R5, or the van, or the Clio Williams or something though? I thought that was an upgrade some folk tried on the GTT?
So i spent the day rolling about on the garage floor and the arb is now off.The inner bushes measure 21mm internal diameter and measure about 30mm high.I have sent the arb off to be powder coated so should i order the 21mm bushes or take into account the powder coat and order 23mm?
Rally design bushes. What are they like?Which colour should i go for?
I have used both the yellow bushes and the red ones. The red ones are really solid but I never really noticed anything on the road. I guess if your current bushes have play then you might notice. I ended up with the wrong set for ordered the others and sent them back.
By the way you don't need to remove the whole anti roll bar to replace them :)
Managed to fit new wishbones and arb bushes.Turned out to be a pain in the arse and one you dont want to do to often. The advice given (g clamp) etc made it easier.I think the powdercoating made it harder but its done now and looks fresh.I did intend to fit the new koni suspension i have but will leave that untill next winter.

Cool, what bushes did you go for in the end? 'G' clamp is a top tip ;). Still got my full set of Koni's to fit when I buy top hats & bearings. :ashamed:
I used rally design bushes.:agree:
The easiest way to fit the inner bushes is to use really long bolts then cut them down a bit if needed :) Glad you got them sorted, it's always nice to have nice new stuff on the car :D
So you managed to squeeze the 21mm's over the powder coating? Cool :agree:
