renault 19 16v conertable brakes

phase 2 19 got no brakes is this an easy fix ? ive hurd you can bypass the abs system as the abs pump are hard to come by ?

If it's the ABS unit gone, it's pretty much scrap the car. Can replace the unit but that could be faulty as well. To change over to a master cylinder braking is a lot of effort plus finding all the parts for it and an engine out job.

Depends on the car really, the braking system is pressurised a lot, so I didn't want to do the work myself. Took a garage 4 hours to do the work, they did have to do it twice, as first replacement was faulty as well. If you find them in the scrap yard they are more than likely there because of that fault.
