Hello all,
Thinking of getting a new turbo could I use this on a standard engine? I do have a better intercooler every thing else is standard. is this a good choice for a turbo?

I would get the Exhaust Housing Size .35 this is standard size?
Any help would be great or other options.
Thanks :)

Reason behide the T25? Would there be any alterations needed? And would this be fine on a standard engine? Just with better intercooler.
If you don't mind me asking what did you pay for your t25/t2 from them?
Thanks

Yes that'll be fine to use on your engine. You need to check the fueeling if you increase the boost anything above standard really. I have a T2/T25 and I use it on track - great little turbo :agree:

I have one of these on my 5, which I bought back in about 1999. Cost me £650 at the time. I went for the .35 exhaust housing also.

Bolts straight on. I found that it seemed to kick in higher up the rev range over a standard turbo (I was running about 18psi) but other than that i didnt really notice much difference in power or performance on the road over my old T2. My car was running a gasflowed & ported out head, flowed inlet manifold & carb which all seemed to improve low down power/responsiveness and reduce the feeling of lag. One reason I went for the T2/T25 rather than a full T25 was that I figured with the setup I had I wouldnt be pushing out any more than 200bhp and the T2/T25 was "rated" as being able to handle upto that more reliably than the stock T2.

I was running standard intercooler at the time which was strapped, carb was rejetted.

The 35 exhaust housing is the standard t2 housing so with a t25 core and comp housing it would be vey restrictive.T25 with a 49 rear such as that off a rover 220 is imo the perfect turbo for a r5gtt.Full boost at 3.5k and can flow enough for close to 200hp.
