I have just bought Volvo 1.7 turbo engine and box with turbo, plugs and whatnots still on the b18ft engine with gearbox that was already removed from car and on pallet

What do I need to take with me as some wiring looms still attached to car, anything else do I take before the seller scrap the Volvo?

Thanks in advance

Sean

New poster! (less than 10 posts)

The engine I got was from a 440t and the ECUs were in the drivers foot well/lower dash on the r/h side, from what I read I also made sure I got the maf sensor and downpipe.
Relays for fuel pump and ECUs which I didnt get but should be in dash?

Thanks for the info and the links :agree:

I have recently took the engine looms off Volvo 480 Turbo with complete b18ft engine/box and bits still attached to engine.

But I can only see one ECU (Jetronic), see pics below to see if I have miss any then I go back to this car for parts to salvage before the seller scrap the Volvo this weekend

You got the AFM mate? Couldn't see but may have glazed over it.

Air flow meter mate. Sits in between the turbo and air filter. You'll need that unless your planning on going aftermarket ecu which I'm guessing your not.
