bonnet safety wire

Can anyone tell me where the safety wire fixes to the bonnet, I know its riveted to the side of the headlight on the car but not sure where non the bonnet.....

From memory, so I could be wrong, but does it not fit onto the black bonnet stay clip. Riveted on if I remember.

Yeah, I did look at that earlier and thought that is where it went, if so then I have to drill out the rivet on the stay, is it above or below the stay clip????

Pretty sure it is above the clip but someone else will confirm for sure. I remember that I replaced the rivet on mine with a shelf tapping screw as it made bonnet removal more convenient. Didnt look as good though.

I can't find a pic of the riveting but here is the clip. Looks like there is a hole for the rivet.
