We had assembled them ready to fit, before we found our mistake.
Available, minus the springs and top-mounts, obviously.
£50 the pair, plus carriage, though would prefer collection if possible...
With Season's Greetings,
Steve

sorry to hear about your uncle passing away, but if ever motivation was needed for a car restoration then surely that is it, doing it for him so to speak.
Looks brilliant, keep it up.

If you look at the two mounting holes at the base, on the Ph.1 they are parallel,
but the Ph.2 they are offset at an angle. The top mounts were re-used on my car (http://www.rtoc.org/boards/showthread.php?t=34815&page=4)
being restored. I'd had those powder-coated.
I'm not sure about which courier to use and it's a big unwieldy box they come in.
Many courier firms don't take car parts - can anyone advise? I can accept payment by
PayPal.
With Season's Greetings,

Yes Jamie cant wait to see the look on my aunties face when its done she was telling me how fast it was and didn't like it because by the sound of it he didn't hang about in it bless him

Have you tried renault to ask? I tried to find the paint code when I had some wheels re-done a few years ago. Only thing is that the colour they are now will probably be darker as they go darker over the years with muck/brake dust etc. :)

Even if you get the paint code number, it still won't look right, unless you spray
an eggshell lacquer over them afterwards. Because of that, I went with titanium
chrome from AeroCoat. It's not an approximation, but it isn't too divergent or
blingy either. I've received nothing but compliments and expressions of jealousy
for that choice.

That colour Steve is pretty much spot on! Looks period but in a modern sort of way if that makes sense?
I rattle can sprayed mine Vauxhall star silver, and used normal lacquer.
I think it looks spot on to the original colour.

They look great. What did you do to prep the wheels before you sprayed them mate?
As I have a set I want to have a go at.

Thanks Matt, that was my objective. The original finish was semi-matt, not shiny,
and the last thing I wanted was people knowingly pointing and saying: You know
your wheels are the wrong colour, don't you? I'm not pretending that it's "right",
but the wheels look smart.
Can powder-coaters do an egg-shell finish off the bat?
Regards,
Steve
Nice 1 steve ill speak to the powder coat people about that.
Not tried ringing renault because they ask for my reg and for some reason the car is not on the system so there all ways stumped and say they cant help...
Well finally got my wheels back from the powder coaters and they are shocking so they have now gone to be sprayed. Turns out the man ive took the wheels to is friends with the powder coaters and said they have messed up so he's going to take them back and i might get my money back but ha 19894ho never mind
On the up side new bits are arriving19898

What the hell did they do to the wheels. Were they pitted to begin with?
Love the phase 1. Very original and some decent history to go with it.
They didn't look very good at all but when he blasted them he said he couldn't believe how good they was and couldn't wait to put the powder on.he reckons when he heated them up and put the powder on it just sank into the wheel so he just kept going over them to try and fill them up.ive been told he's messed up on the first go but not sure lets hope there better painted
