The big cog has to marks etched into it one saying std mark the other says holbay cam mark, any info also on the markings would be great

The marks will be where it needs to sit for whatever timing the cam is good for. Will be a case of lining it up with the new markings instead of the std one when installing it. :agree: Like a sort of fixed version of adjusting the pully/timing.

How far away are the marks? I'm not after buying, just interested to know.

Can any one tell me what the standard markings are on the standard cam? This one has 270 and a few other numbers on it!

All standard cams and updated cams have 270 stamped on the shaft side, after market cams will have small numbers stamped on the end of the cams face.

All the numbers on the sides are nothing just Renault ref numbers,if its uprated cam the numbers or letters on the end face are what the cams is, or get a vernier and measure the lift and compare it to the cam wizard.
