Has anyone bought one of these filters, they seen cheap for an OEM part http://i984.photobucket.com/albums/ae329/wrxcook/Mobile%20Uploads/Screenshot_2014-11-13-08-09-23.png (http://s984.photobucket.com/user/wrxcook/media/Mobile%20Uploads/Screenshot_2014-11-13-08-09-23.png.html)

I do realise it's a generic picture of an oil filter

Depends on exact size of filter as larger than oe size can cause a drop in oil pressure, Briggsy had an issue with a Meccaparts filter that caused damage due to this. I personally only use the Purflux LS590 oe oil filters as they are correct size with pressure plate, good reason why I have 10 of these in my wardrobe lol ;)

I had a problem with gsf I order a oil filter and got a small black looking one carnt remember the make, then my mate rang me back after his mate sold me the wrong one and gave me a slightly larger dark blue one think was same make as the one stated in Bigfoot post, and he said that was the original for the gt turbo as the smaller one was for the campus he also stated the same dip in oil pressure and cause a problem! Just thought I'd mention it, up the garage on the weekend so will take pic of both filters for u if it helps u buy the right one, or again use the rtoc shop

The larger ones are for the other R5 models. The correct GTT one is short/stubby.

Think mine are breeding, dunno where they all came from Dre :wasntme:

GSF used to do the LS590 filters however stock dried up, this is exactly the same filter just with slightly different markings and in a Purflux box not a Renault Box.

Last filter I got from GSF was a black Mann filter W75/3 which is bigger than LS590 with no pressure plate.

Did buy a Fram PH4546 off ebay for £5.00 which I found by chance, slightly lighter blue colour however exactly same size as LS590, think these are the ones in the club shop.
