Easy & accessable job? or utter nightmare?

it's in a clio btw not a 5.

bit of a pig sometimes. be carefull not to score the bore that they're pressed into else the new ones will leak. I havn't tried this but I thought maybe welding a long bolt to the middle of the plug then using a big washer, bit of tube and nut you could wind the nut on to pull the plug out of the block. no doubt there is a tool you could buy to do it with but there isn't much space down there if the engine is in the bay.

Apparantly they have "fallen out" during the cold weather! so removing is'nt an issue.

I have'nt looked at the car in person yet so was unsure of where they're located & what space is available?

Does it sound a bit dodgey to you that they froze & dropped out during the winter?

If there is no antifreeze in the block then the core plug popping out has just saved the block from cracking!
