torsion bar upgrade

Is there any upgrade for the torsion bars. Mine seems to have sagged a bit and I'm looking to refresh it so might look to change a few parts this winter. What options do I have. If nothing is available has anyone put a small set of coilovers on to help out.

They used to fit bars from the 5GTT van.

There are / were few examples of 5GTTs with turreted rear suspension, struts and springs.

I'm sure I knew a lad who had a cup car and he Mentioned something about parallel rear axle?

Anyone heard that?

The Mk1 5's had parallel torsion bars for the rear IIRC.
