cool matt, retro day is normally easy as theres always lots of interest and both years ALL tickets have sold, you need to be 100% sure you can move all or most of the tickets as the club loses out otherwise, at worse mate with pod tickets can be bought from pod or on the gate at worse which means we still get a day out

Mr Simpson is the man to talk to regarding anything to do with the clubs coffers matt:laugh::laugh::agree:

You can try but previously they only sent them to the card holder address, or something like that. They may come direct from TicketMaster and not from pod. But the passes come from Pod, so they'd go to you I'd guess.

Trying to buy two weekend tickets but the shop will only let me buy one its says max 1 what's that all about surely one member can buy as many tickets as he wants:crap:

We decided to allow members to buy a ticket for their spouse at the members price, but only on specific pre-request as they don't have a RTOC members user name to supply so otherwise their purchase will be stopped.

We keep a log of all buyers so can tell if a member buys a 2nd ticket later.

There were only about two or three last year and it caused something of a muddle.

This does not apply to members pals, however good they are, or older kids. Under 13's are free.

Non Member Sunday tickets are now in the RTOC shop.

£14 + post. We lose the PayPal fees of about £0.68p from the £14.

In just over two weeks, from Pod it's £14 + £3 post per order or £14 if ordered on-line with 'print your own' tickets.

Pod charge the full price for over 13 years old.

What should RTOC do?

This happened once or twice last year.

For a camping ticket we paid £16.12. In two weeks we'd have to pay £18.12 IIRC.

We pay PayPal for each sale 3.4% + 20p. on £16.12 that's 78p or £16.90 we have to charge to break even.

Plus postage and envelope if sent on it's own.

I've set the price at the cost to the RTOC for two weeks only. Then Pod raise their price and so will we.

I've also lowered the price of the Sunday non member ticket for the next two weeks.

I've taken the post off too, but we can only allow this if the tickets are bought with members tickets or other goods. If non members buy them on their own then we'll have to request the postage fee.

hi all, Robbie turbo ted had a great idea for the ND retro weekend of asking PFC to attend to see if they want to feature his car, he asked me as ive been organising it so today ive sent them a email this is what I wrote

hi there, my name is mick, im in the RTOC Renault Turbo Owners Club, on sunday 21st june @ santa pod, we will be attending the RETRO DAY as part of our national day for the club, my friend Robbie has a 590bhp Renault 5 GT Turbo Phase 2 which will be attending, I believe 2 years ago there was going to be a photo shoot for your magazine but this never happened for whatever reason, Robbie now lives in southern Ireland but is coming over for the santa pod retro weekend and will be running his car over the weekend of the 20/21 june 2015, the car already runs 10.4 secs 1/4 mile and he wondered if you would be interested in attending to do a photo shoot and a story on the car, he asked me to contact you as im organising it for the RTOC, there will be loads of other cars there and its a great weekend, it would be great if you could attend, you featured some of our other members cars last year and previous years..if this is something that would be of interest please contact me via my email

well usual its just a great day out @ pod but this is ND so it will be a little different,


on the day there many other things on retro day itself at pod so plenty to see

all car groups/forums are on a club stand

obviously the 1/4 mile for all retro cars
pod has its own show and shine, hopefully we will have our own too with a cash prize
the jet car runs twice on the sunday
drifting shows
sometimes live music
funfair
auto jumble
food/drinks

raffle
maybe a free ice cream for those that attend, ian can pay though:laugh::laugh::laugh::laugh:

people going to camp will be able too on saturday which is a RWYB day so still lots going on, i will hopefully get 2 people to get all rtoc to camp together, as retro day is not as big as say VW, BWM days there will be plenty of camp spaces

yes its a weekend ticket and covers both days, I could go on Saturday go to a hotel in the evening instead of camping and then go back and re enter on the sunday matt:agree:

It would be most helpful if those going for the weekend who have not yet purchased, do so in the next few days.

We'll be coming to the end of the weekend tickets and I doubt we'll be buying any near to the event.

So, basically, it's now from RTOC or later direct from the POD.

all you need to pay phil is for a member ticket weekend or just sunday, the £25 payment to run is paid at pod on the day boss

you can buy more but you need non member for the others unless its ya missus and she gets the members price

Main gate opens at 8am both Saturday and Sunday.

Also:

Please complete all the details on the hanger and have it visible on arrival at Santa Pod.

The coloured side must face outward.

And it needs to be your Mrs, not a pal who doesn't live with you, is an ex-member and can easily pay the full price.

You tried to buy a ticket for a non member who's membership had recently expired. He was to tight to rejoin even though, with the weekend discount ticket, membership would cost him maybe £2.

You were terse, even unpleasant, pushy, insulting, in our exchange of PM's, and refused to supply any information at all about the person you were buying for.

Then very soon after I refund your £10 that evening someone called some like Pashta slags off the RTOC after 'tonights goings on' and states that his years membership was a complete waste of money. I can only presume he was the person you tried to buy for.

When people take the piss and are insulting that does not sit well with me. This is not a faceless organisation staffed with paid employees who don't care. The few people giving up their free time to help people like you are offended when rubbed up the wrong way.

If you now genuinely do have a Mrs that you want to bring, you've gone 100% the wrong way about buying her a ticket. For me to extend you this courtesy on behalf of this club requires trust and your actions and words so far have not engendered that.

Lets get one thing straight mick its my car and im travelling over from ireland for this which cost alot of money and I will run it when I want too and Saturday is the best day with a good prepped track and get some runs in, Sunday the track won't be as good from all the cars with road tyres, the track loose's traction and just to busy and point less running big power FWD car. As for Pfc featuring my car Im not that impressed with what was said in this months article saying I'm claiming to have 590hp, does hours and hours of mapping time at efi-parts with power graphs and 10sec quarter mile time I ran 3 years ago and ran the same time last year at retro show Saturday and YouTube videos is that not proof enough.:mad::mad:

I had some computer issues most of this week. And had to delete Firefox 38.05 today after the update yesterday broke itself. I was on here earlier with Opera on another PC, just as a test. I had Linux Mint going on Mon Tues and people were right when they say it's fast!
