I will be down Saturday too :agree:
I'm just processing the orders of the folks who bought today.
There seem to be a few missing from recent requests?
Last call for tickets.
I'll be buying the last set tomorrow am.
Anyone not bought by then has missed the deadline.
That's that, all tickets purchased.
Stand passes are processed separately by Pod. I ordered them but no response. Maybe they'll all turn up together, probably not, so, if need be, I'll mail the passes to R5MJH or Alex to be collected at the event.
81 tickets sold.
About 53 car passes so far.

is there anyone near ilford willing to do a favor for me, mr simpson may not be up to driving as he gets very tired i was hoping to get him to his first pod for many years, is anyone local that could maybe collect him on the way?? mr simpson is a intregal part of this club, i will say upfront be prepared to get ear burn:D:agree:

ok right this is for everyone those wanting to enter the rtoc show n shine must write it on the standpass with a marker pen please, there needs to be over 6 entrys for each to have that categorie, theres 2 categories oe and modified please write this on your pass too so either SNS oe or SNS mod. remember the car is viewed by the 3 judges viewing it there discussion is final no arguments ok thx
The passes did not arrived today, so I'm send the remaining tickets today, 2nd class post.
There are three who'll need passes and may have to collect at the gate:
• mike's r5 for your guests,
• Haz and guests,
• danboi2
if they come tom get em over to me and ill take with me incase you dont go ian, ill also check to see if i got last years as there the same:D
Pod says:
"Passes must be completed and displayed on arrival with the coloured side facing outward so it can be seen by security.
The registration number must match the vehicle it's in."
thats what they say but in principle all they do is see a coloured pass and let you through lol, but yes please fill them in guys

I'm all packed and ready. Should be arriving around 1pm tomorrow all being well. Won't be able to make the North West convoy but hey ho. Just hope I can get some track time in before it shuts. :)
probably ianI won't be going. Drove the car on the dual carriageway yesterday and and at least one front wheel is too bent to go at much more than 55mph. I think it's those damned hillocks they put in the middle of the roads. The Fiat is to narrow to straddle them and the 13" wheels with the no profile tyres can't withstand the repeated impact. I've had them hammered out a couple of times and changed them a couple of times for round ones and here we are again; bent. :crap: Don't often go that fast around here, just follow the traffic to locals shops, etc, or on lanes. Car's not up to motorway use.

Not a great start for me, I'm currently stuck on the M6 waiting for the AA, car just died on me, noticed when I was cranking I couldn't hear the fuel pump. Bridged the wires in the relay and the pump ran but still wouldn't start. There was definitely fuel at the carb. So then checked for spark and that's my problem. I think it's the tdc lead. Will get the AA to run a continuity test and see. If anybody has a spare tdc and king lead they wouldn't mind bringing to pod that would be ace. Will update further when I know what's actually wrong. Just hope I manage to make it.
remember sunday guys pfc magazine are there and they are featuring robbie and rtoc so please make the photographer matt very welcome:agree:

Drove up to the local premier inn today, car ran good all the way here even in the monsoon rains got about a 1/2 hours drive to pod tomorrow morning so see you all there
just got back in after a 1hr delay cause traffic was bad:cry:, id firstly like to say thanx for everyone who attended the pod 1st ND day, well ive never seen so many cars parked on the stand, robbies car performed great all day i think 10.384 sec was the fastest his car ran faultless, a personal best too and btw rob and aud great seeing yas again:agree:
also great to put loads of faces to names and again some great people of the clan that ive not had the pleasure of meeting before mainly alex, gtphil, lee, mojo and many others
there wasnt any show n shine in the end as there wasnt any interest which left time for people to do what they wanted, a massive thanx to matt the PFC photographer who took some excellent group photos
ian could you pm me some history of RTOC as they will want it for a cover story..
ill let you write it up, :laugh::laugh:

all in all i highly recommend doing this next year please comment on this guys before i lock this thread, also today the camera i normally use i couldnt find so please can anyone with vids only whatsapp me em ill pm my mob if you need it, Bad bit of the day james broke down just befor home but hopefully nothing major, ill upload vid when clips are in and ive had to convert it

top day had a great laugh, met loads of people and i think the skips made up the most of any other cars there lol. Shame the car decided not to play ball and died on me during all three attempts, even more thanks to the many many people who towed me on the day lmao. Finally sorted it after everyone had gone turned out to be water leaked on to the coil lead:sad2:
Good to meet everyone and put faces to names. :agree: the red 1971 detamoso pantera was my favorite of the day.:agree::agree::)

I rocked up pretty late and couldn't believe how many cars were on the stand. I ended up parked over by a fence :laugh:
It was great to have a chat with a few old faces, I didn't catch most people this time round.
I'm inspired to use and mess around with the 5 again now :)

Have to admit was a great day dissapointed I could not run please the car made it to the event in (can't say it made it all the way home but it made 90% of the journey back).
I am just uploading some pic's and videos to my photobucket, doesn't really take into account just how many RTOC car's were on the stand. Next year we should get a couple of big flags and a fence banner aswell, lots of interest from peeps on the car's and some good runs :agree:

Accidently deleted my pics from the day. My fave 5s were the 3 dimmas. The blue on one the stand and the black and white ones in the camping area.
I had an awesome weekend even it was a little AA themed :laugh: Thanks to everyone who's helped organise the day and everyone who turned up. �� And everyone who helped me with parts and what not.
For anyone who didn't go you missed a cracking show and an awesome rtoc turn out. The amount of awesome cars that turned up was amazing. Best show I have ever attended for sure :agree:

We had a fantastic 1st time as a newbie. Was feeling it on Sunday.Great turn out and good to put some names to faces. :) definatly going again next year this time hopefully a low loader wont be required to get us there and back he says! But i was determined to get there this year with the 5. Amazing to see everyone muck in when it was required to help fix peoples cars brillant club spirit and hospitality :agree:

As mentioned by most a good day out and was good to put some names to faces. The 5 was good aswell. Although I had 0 boost there or back. On the way up I only had part throttle because I'd clamped up the throttle cable without a rubber piece in between the cable and clamp. Thanks Logg for the fix.
So I assumed the 0 boost was because of the lack of throttle. But no on the way home again 0 boost😕 I in my wisdom put the actuator on and put the circlip on over a year ago and then meant too adjust the nuts to the right place to get my desired psi but obviously forgot. I no what a 1.4 non turbo feels like now 😂

All this chat about breakdowns and club spirit reminds me of the good old days.:D

I have to say that it was great to see how the guys all helped Phil out when he arrived,then again on Sunday along with everyone else sharing parts,knowledge and air pumps too.

A marvellous turn out for the club - I had an ace weekend. I arrived around 11am ish on the Saturday and just about managed to get the tend and gazebo up before it started raining - glad I brought that gazebo.
We all piled in the gazebo and had food and beer while it was raining, some great banter and laughs going on!
Phil turning up on the AA truch was a gem, even better that he manged to beat his PB with a bub 13 second pass........... and was then (eventually) towed home again having cracked a liner. He took it on good spirits though!
Really nice to meet some new faces including the committee guys who I've never met before. Also really nice to catch up with some old friends.
It was the first time I've been to the Retro Show (and the first time I've been to Pod in 10 years) but I'd most definitely go again, I loved the huge variety of cars.
Roll on next year! :):agree::cool:

Had a great weekend as always though sadly I wasn't able to bring the cup car due to a slipping clutch on my van.

Was a great event last Sunday at Retro Show with a fantastic turnout of cars, good to meet some more of you. Looking forward to ND2016 already! :agree: ;)
