can be done but time consuming and a fecker to align forks and springs etc etc when refitting case before sealant goes off etc

Last year i thought 'how hard can it be?, it's only a gearbox, i strip and rebuild machine parts all the time at work'.
After removing the first plate and about 489072359867 springs, pins, spacers and unkown small bits of metal sprung out and flew across the floor i gave up.:laugh:

Specialist gets my vote. :agree:

i dunno how different the internal workings of a pug box are, but the lads at work love gearbox strips, replacing worn syncro's etc... i just swap whole boxes thats about my limit lol

I can get it done for about £180 -£200 mate, the last 2 box's i've had done cost £140 and £180 had new bearings and 2 syncro's too.
