Hi all I have just purchased avo coilovers they have two nuts on the top do I tighten the first nut as tight as I can then on too of that I put the donut then the top strut mount as there is not enough room for the bearings to fit hope some 1 can help as I'm sat here scratching ma head ha ha

been a while since I have played with AVO's have you got the setup all bolted together the correct way?

They are as they came I have not touched them,I went on link you sent and looks like how they are

Just. It sure weather I need to do the 1st nut up as tight as it will go and then do I just fit donut and top strut

The diagram shows only one nut as far as I can see.

If you have two nuts that doesn't seem correct. Can you take pics and upload them so we can see what's going on.

Ok will do tomoro as they at garage they both have 2nuts but are not the same as the oe nut

Standard nuts are nylock ones. The two nuts your on about are to replace that one standard nut. The first does the job. The second locks the first in place as they are not nylock nuts and one would work loose over time otherwise.

Get that second nut done up tight. Best way is to do it with the car on the ground so you have weight on the whole top mount assembly. I had to modify a 22mm step ring spanner so i could get it in and get a purchase on the nut.

You can just get brutal with a windy gun on them whilst the shocks are off the car also or even using just a spanner if your brutal enough. :agree:

Ok will go like a mad man on it with my windy gun didn't know I could do it that way so worked out well

I just looked again at the diagram. Where the nut(s) are showing, they have one box but two nuts in it. Grrr. Far more obvious if they had drawn one line to each nut from the letters 'AS'.
