Accelerator pedal tough and brakes crap?

Two questions

Since buying my 5

I noticed the accelerator pedal seems to be quite harder to press? Esoically when slightly depresseing it?

And
The brakes from standard are crap ?

It passed a mot on the brakes so they work, but they feel bad to me?

Is that normal?

the hard pedal could be the cable I had one where the cable and outer got a kink/bend in it and you had to push the pedal hard to get the bent cable through the bend in the outer. an new cable was like silk.

Std brakes are petty good, so if yours aren't I'd be giving them a damn good bleed with new fluid and check the condition of the discs and pads. New items don't cos a lot so no excuse for not giving them a refresh.

a good bleed is recommended..........hard to achieve sometimes though!! cheap pads wont give u a good brake either:(..........u might be due a pad and disc change....shop around..........personally i wouldn't go for a bigger kit .....standard should be good:)
