im nearly ready to fire car up after 18 months rebuild. gone threw electrics. on ignition (red lite on) fuel pump dosent buzz, no power to pump. been looking on here threw old threads, is this really right? been told by some people its SUPPOSED TO KICK IN? does it just kick in when cranking. think I mite be looking for a problem when there isn't one?

Only runs when cranking as needs a signal from the tdc sensor I think?

It runs when you crank it if you stop turning it over befor it starts you will hear it buzzing for a couple if seconds after.

I has this issue, you might have read it in a thread already but I changed the relay no luck.
Turned out to be a loose wire on the AEI poss the one that goes to the tdc sensor , which is where the relay gets the signal from to give power to the pump.
