Renault 5 GT Turbo

Driving into London today on the A40 and came across a fast 5 GT Turbo.
Sounded like a big turbo when it spooled up alongside, must be 200bhp+

I was in the Polar 911 Turbo, enjoyed that :)

Yes I was pretty sure we had met before I pulled alongside, at Ace Cafe too. I am still a Renault owner, a Phase 1 Titanium Clio 172. It put in low 9's at the 'ring this summer, impressed with it but it doesn't have the character of a 5 GT Turbo.

Your car is FAST!!! What kind of power is it?

lol I don't know it was 206@24 psi with the small turbo but not been rolled since the new big turbo, 3' downpipe and 2.5 exhaust. I had to add more fuel though at 24psi so guess it's got a tad more but now running 27psi. She goes well for a fully trimmed and dynamatted GTT with a boot full of tools and sub n amp.

That's a real tasteful 911 you've got if it wasn't for the badge I'd no thought it was a turbo as they normally look really in your face and stuff.

Not tempted to turbo or supercharge the clio?
