just been playing with this relay (white 6pin) as the colour are crap - nothing like scoff has said mine are white purple .!!
then noticed when i manually activate the central locking this clicks
thus tells me this has to be the central locking relay
not the fuel pump relay ???????

anyone shed some light ?
or can u direct me to the correct wire on the AEI unit
the car has a toad alarm/immobiliser and a lazer immobiliser
im guessing the wires have been screwed with by the alarm fitter!!

IT wont be on the fuel pump relay.

Take it from the back of the clocks

If you've got a haynes manual have a look in the wiring diagram, it'll tell you the exact wire, I can't for the life of me remember the colour now

Both verify its pin A8 on the back of the cluster.

Oh yes it is Dave :)

Fuel pump relay as follows:

Thick red = Battery +ve
Thick white = Fuel pump +ve
Thin black = ground
Thin yellow = ignition +ve
Thin brown/grey = tacho

The relay watches the tacho signal to decide when to switch the pump on and off.

When I fit ECU's for EFI conversions I wire everything bar the ground to the old fuel pump relay.

...so wheres the bloody fuel pump relay ???
Yeah, I've searched high and low on here for its position. Here's the base of the
white one, compared to the base of the green one I have, which matches the
picture of those for sale in the RTOC shop.

Any ideas guys?

Fuel pump relay attaches on a small bracket at the top right hand side of the fuse board. It's also a large rectangular cartier

Or just left dangling/stuffed behind the fuse box like most seem to be!
