I had my avo's refurbished a couple of years ago, £150 ish iirc. Lasted about 5000 miles after they were done! Poor value for money imo.

They didn't clean up the body either, only done the seals/valves etc. I was a bit disappointed as i thought they would come back looking like new.

The timescale was about a month when i rang up to get them sorted last year, so don't plan on getting them back in a hurry. Ive ditched mine for koni yellows, a lot better for fast road/occasional track;)

Avo do have a poor turn around in regard to repairs/servicing.

They don't like people chasing up problems when the damper/shock has an issue during their warranty period.

Well, that's what I have experienced anyway.

there is a compony up by silverstone who will do them for around 80 pounds each, that includes strip and rebuild replacing seals etc and a repaint. i found there number on konis website. i never actually used them so cant vouch for their work.

Hmm quite along turn around then. If i was to pay 150 for a refurb i'd also expect them to come back nice and fresh. Maybe i should bite the bullet and go for some new ones then.

I would go for shocks and springs but i like the drop abit more than what the 50mm springs do

TBH i would be tempted to buy new/2nd hand from a decent member of the club rather than recon them.

But each to there own.

i asked them about revalving my coilovers aswell. they said they can do it, just let them know what you want from the coilovers and they will do it for you. let me see if i can find the number for you.

im pretty sure it was sportline suspension i spoke to. im sure they do other makes than just koni. hope this helps.

Is that BG motorsports?

No. is 01327855200, his turnaround for the Sachs dampers fitted to the Trophy's has been excellent.

Good number to have. I need some wicked coilovers on a peasants wage though.
