Hi we have now taken the head off as everyone was saying my issue was the piston rings, we sprayed WD40 in the bores, is it ment to soak through?? Thanks

If its dropped past the rings pretty quickly then you have a problem with them
Sometimes it only takes a small amount of gap in the ring/bore gap for an engine to have breather issues, you have a lot of pressure pushing past them rings

But the bore we had 150psi the wd40 drained fast through that, and the one we had only 65psi it drained a lot slower!

When you did the compression test had the engine ran or was it cold? If it was warm the liners would still be abit wet so help seal the bores abit more

The WD40 shouldn't soak away too quickly at all though past the rings, all your sympton's with the oil blowing out the breathers does point to rings

We done it cold first when I was with Michael I think, then I done it on my own after it had been run.

Was there any differences in readings between cold and hot?

It was about 140 I think? When it was hot!

Was that on the cylinder that read low when it was cold?

No the cylinder that read low when cold, was about 65psi when hot

Was it much difference when cold on that one?
If you got 65psi hot then you definitely got issue's, I would of possibly said valve but the fact the engine is pushing oil out the engine points me towards rings

It was about 55/60 psi on that one when cold! The wD40 didn't drain as fast on the one with low compression but the other one with good compression it drained a lot faster!!! I'm just confused!!!!!!

It does sound abit confusing why its done that but either way it shouldn't of drained away that quickly on any of the cylinders
As you got the read off I would pull the pistons out to be sure, never know what you may find mate

We will just have to pull all the pistons out see what they look like!

just change the rings this will be the problem

Thanks for everyone's help, we took the pistons out tonight and I had a cracked one which would be causing my problems!!!
