hi all just making people aware that some rtoc members last year went to this event.
Robbie made me double check and I stand corrected rob its there:laugh:
its earlier this year maybe, as the weather was very poor last year but there was still a fair turnout but not like this retro day, rob said he may make the trip again for this so its always good for us all to catch up. Anywayz its not to September so just a heads up, anyone that wants to show a interest can, ill start a list if theres any interest nearer the time and move the thread to events in September then, obviously if theres not much interest that's fine too, I think Arthur may organise something in Holland around this time too so just putting it out there

this will more than likely be a pay on gate like last year, and you don't really get a standpass as you can normally park where you like as its a RWYB day :agree::agree:

good man jp hope the weather holds too as the track was shut most of the day last year but least its september and not october like last year, when it did get goin though it was good im hoping logg will come too as he couldnt run last year as he had a few leaks:agree:
So anymore coming?? are there any details of possible convoys for this yet? and who's got what left to do in preparation for this?

I live about 10mins away from the pod, so will have to keep my eye out for a convoy of 5`s. Not seen any on the roads around here for years. So if you see a black Nissan Juke (wifes car) flashing at you then you`ll know its me.
Unfortunately wife has booked me up to see some friends that day and my 5 is still a very long way from being back on the road, so I wont be going.

hopefully yes got it running now anyway hopefully that's it, changed aei, aei relay, tdc lead also found that the rear ns koni was the cause of the knocking at the rear, the upper bolt was loose, ive now locktited it, got a slight shiver from nsf when turning heavy left but pod is straight so that's ok:laugh::laugh:
just had a fit when I checked pod website it say Saturday is a bwm day but closer reading its still the sat night spec but bmw day on sunday thank god but ill ring them to double check 2morrow:ashamed::ashamed::agree:

there's always car club day after Saturday night special maybe next year we should try arange a Renault day for everyone not just rtoc:agree:

fingers crossed on the dry part, forecast looks good, not sure if i'm gonna get time to up the boost so lets see what a dismal 14psi will do :p

well what a load of bollox just put mikes other carb on all sweet but when I opened bleed valve it ran less boost:cry::cry:
valve fully shut 15psi
valve fully open 10psi
carb running 10's on WOT, 14.5 tickover, so would be good @ 21psi boost, so had to put old carb on as its running to rich on the 1.4 2nd stage carb gutted
actuator wont hold more than 15psi:scratch::scratch:
oh well here goes should be a good day, sad a good few cant make this but I suppose that's life:cooter::cooter:

just got back had a great day, weather was awesome, mike and james got 4 straight off runs in off the bat and james did a couple later, big thanx to those there mike, james, jp, nottswoody, pigsnake, dave reed even though I didn't see him and steve off fb and his mate in the retro Toyota celica turbo, think I saw tim b in the van and there was another red 5 over in general parking but not sure who's, some good times think I may need to edit the 1/4 mile leaderboard lol, ill get some videos up Monday and the whole lot of vid, I also need the go pro footage james which I might bring the lappy to surrey meet Wednesday, also mikes got some from inside but I need stick off steves mate (celica) so I can edit in :agree::agree:

Was not a bad day weather was good lots of different cars to look at. On the way home I came across a jag xkr on a 63 plate let him go past on a clear road then sat on his bumper till around 125mph when we hit some traffic so happy with that at 7 psi. Also Owen slept through the whole thing :wasntme: must have been knackered poor lad.
Then once I got on the a14 home ward bound I heard a slight knocking and though I must check that out once home and it didn't wait till I got home. Blood bolt had dropped out of the lower rear shock :( oh well will replace all of them on Monday. Managed to get it home after cable tieing it all back on :laugh:
Good to see everyone again hope everyone made it home safe.

Just got back from a cracking day we stayed till the end but my times got worse :cry: dam turbo came loose again I really need to invest in some better nuts.. Great seeing you guys again.. God the Sidey got on my tits at 80mph part from that she held up well will fix her up tomorrow.. I do love the pod :agree: think that's it for this year but if the weather keeps up like today I may go again.. Flipping starving time for some food..
And I can't wait to see the vids :agree: miss everything say in the cue :agree:

Was impressed with the mk2 escort black N/A 12s Qs very quick..brilliant day!!

the white 5 was james5 he managed a 13.7, the ronals was nottswoodys did a 13.9, we managed a 14.8 not bad @14psi:laugh: actuator is knacked and wouldnt bleed. filmed white mr2 a few times, the retro celica did a 12.7 i think that was parked with us. great day but i couldnt get up for work this morning 2.5 hours late, but im my own boss luckily, missed robbie though:cry: also my eyes look like pish holes in the snow now:laugh::laugh:

Std engine, all mods are external, fettled carb by me, custom t28 turbo, one piece big2.5" downpipe, ktec Sidey 2.5", pro alloy grill mount intercooler kit, chinese alloy rad, external oil cooler, lightened fly, paddle friction plate with valeo cover and bearing.
Was on road tyres as well eagle f1s

Cheers Logg, 60ft was 2.2, only trapping at 99.6 - 101 all day, spent most other runs at 13.9 had a few 3rd gear issue's on a couple of runs in which I just coasted off
as i said james was a great effort ill see if i can get leaderboard changed lol
vid will be up by tom paul think the best you did was 13.9 which again is good on road tyres, if you got there with us early you would of got 5 runs in 15 mins like james and mike did, got some great vid though guys, pity mike wanted to get back to go out for his birthday party kids eh :laugh:

No rush bud just nice to see what everyone else sees nest for me is wasted spark I think so saving some pennies to send it back to Efi parts and possibly slicks.. Found a few issues today my boost pipes were loose again missing one bolt out of the gearbox sensor (possibly why I had judde on the way home) and my turbo mani was losse again I need to get some nirolex nuts I think? Not an excuse my times were progressively getting worse later on (we stayed till the end) drive home was terrible juddering all the way (gearbox sensor) all sorted now pod is hard on cars so knew I'd had a few things todo to her :agree: bring on the next pod day :) oh and she's smoking oil now :( only a bit I might of filled it a bit too much..
james catch tank was full they do breath heavy sometimes when getting caned boss
