I thought I'd start this thread up for some photos.

I had a great day :) It was nice to see some familiar faces and meet some new people too.
Thanks to Ian, Mick and Dale for arranging the day :agree:

Another awesome retro show.

Big thanks to all of the RTOC for turning up and making the stand so good.

Thanks also to Ian, Mick and dale for sorting the stand and tickets etc


I had a great time and I also agree that mikes RS500 was the star of the show for me. If I ever sell my camper I might just have to get one.

first of all, thanx to everyone that came, a lot more turned up than listed :agree::agree: all I can say is that I cant thanx you all enough for making this a truly awesome day, my first thanx goes to james5 as he transported me most of the way there and back as im to fat to go in mikes with the 16s :laugh:, we managed to keep a good convoy from toddington to pod with a about 10 cars, thanx neil, ben, scratch, camparse boyo, dre, gaz in the van lol and any others I forgot:ashamed::ashamed:

the club stand was packed to the point the fords had to park elsewhere :laugh::laugh:

good to meet Ipswich and handy too a wealth of knowledge them 2 and top notch too, good to see ross again and meet some other members ive not met before:agree::agree:

my only regret I couldn't see Robbie and aud beforehand but robbs assured me he will upload to the rtoc youtube channel, if he don't ill do that for him

also good to see logg, markey mark, jp and his tot,ray and philr5t and of course mike @ gt turbo spares. sorry mike you looked dog ruff, and mike even said I could take the rs500 up the strip, tbh I think he was still p1ssed after a night of debortchery (sorry spelling) due to some heavy late night drinking with a certain paddy that will remain nameless:laugh::laugh:

Well that was a MEGA day at Retro Show today! Thanks to everyone that made the trip to Santa Pod, great turnout today with a load more 5's. Always good to see some of the usual suspects, ECM/members ive met over the years and new members too.

Big thanks to Ian, Mick, Dale and JP for sorting the stand, Little Owen must for be the youngest member of the RTOC :cool:

As above a genuinely awesome day.

Huge thank you to everyone involved with organising and setting it all up, planning routes etc etc.

One again a massive thanks for letting me stick the clio on the stand (doesn't her arse look big next to a 5) I promise next year I'll turn up in a turbo'd Renault and throw her down the strip.

A big thank you for all involved that made the weekend happen, got there just in time to see Robbie run once. Got a little sun burnt. Nice to see the R5 Gt Turbos on the strip. Tim's van went well. Didn't realize how much stuff James 5 ran with in the boot. Saw Danny put a few good runs in.

:laugh:True all the 5's I have had and I take the slowest 5 I have owned down the strip :laugh: got a few problems to sort now as 1st and 2nd gear now crunch bad, car won't idle, and going to fit the cam I had in my boot nowl

Same as everyone else, had a good day out and was good to chat to some of the members. I even enjoyed the convoy sandwiched between the 5`s shame I wasn't in mine :sad2:

After 34 hours without sleep I had to stop off at lakeside services on the m25 for a 15 minute snooze as I couldn't guarantee I'd be safe on the road :eek: a bit annoying as I was only 30miles from home. Still it did the trick as me the car and other road users weren't harmed :laugh:

well normally we go through the village and country lanes 5 miles before pod but they signed up a different way this year, I suppose they get p1ssed off with the traffic from pod, even my sat nav was having a hissy fit:laugh::laugh:

Ah, so thats where this car had been - I saw it on a trailer heading on a14 towards Huntingdon the other morning.

I live about 5mins from Santa Pod, so can hear all the drag cars going down the strip if im sitting outside. Also get to see all sorts of weird and wonderful cars on the local roads going too/from shows! Can usually tell what show day it is also - for example if i see hundreds of old fords about then I know its a ford day. :lol:

good you'd be in old car heaven arthur that's what for me makes this show awesome, ive not seen a Talbot lotus sunbeam or a fiat uno tubo for years yet there were atleast 8/10 talbots and atleast 6 uno turbos unreal

i may have clued up a campsite for the friday/ saturday before retro day its £20 per night and has i think a clubhouse which makes it more fun and is only 10 odd miles from pod
