View Full Version : [30 July 2014] ECM cause French Invasion of East Coast Pirates

Hello Folks,
This is an exploratory post to gauge interest. The East Coast Pirates start their
Wednesday Evening meets from 4th July at the Joyland American Diner in
Great Yarmouth. From the end of July, there's a fireworks show on from 10pm.

So guys, how many cars can we muster to join them on Wednesday 30th July?
Please spread the word as much as you can because I need to have a fairly
firm idea of numbers to arrange this with ECP. If we can muster more than
10 cars, then I'll make enquiries for our own event, probably on Thursday
31st July. The Diner owner is a car nut and would probably let us reserve an
area of his private car park.

Apart from the cars, the food served at the Diner is purty darned good and
also good value for money! So, it's bring the missus if you wanna...

Cut off date for this exploration - in other words whether or not we achieve
the numbers - is Sunday 29 June 2014...

Regards,
Steve

(P.S. Topic already discussed in PM with TNTAndy)

New poster! (less than 10 posts)

Thanks mr raider for the heads up.
I would like to come along and say hello if possible. Just got to tackle a little rust in the boot for the mot and i should be there......oh and it will need a good clean:)

a few laps of the old golden mile isnt what it was in the 90's though, there are now speed cameras, cobble stones, traffic lights and speed bumps, all designed to hamper the enjoyment of the average lowered r5 with bump riding capabilities of a forklift(for those who have driven one).

Also of note is that the common dump valve that we have on turbo charged cars today was actually invented in gt yarmouth lol:laugh:
thats were I first started to hear them and we would call them "seaside valves" back then.

No worries Jimmy, be good to meet you and hopefully see the black 5. If it doesnt quite get done and mot'd etc then cam always pop along in another ride to say hello. ;)

Think ill bring my 'seaside valve' lol :D
