Vag gearbox info.

I know a few on here have a vag box fitted so wondered if anyone might be able to help me and a mate out.

basically we have an audi a4 1.8t,the box on it is fooked!

does anyone know if the box from a 2.0 will be ok?

code from our box is ghw,code from the 2.0 box is fsf.

both are cvt 01j.

Cvt as in constant variable transmission?
I think the only difference will be ratio's but i don't know shit about automatic transmissions
