Hi the 285 is a good cam i have it on miine with a t25 running 16psi i got 180 bhp makes for a responsive engine with good top end aswell. I dialed it in at about 110 degree to get a bit more bottem end from the cam

With the 270 cam you can use the standard valve springs, with the 285 you need either some piper springs or cat cams ones.

Without knowing the full specs of your turbo for a full T25 i would use the 285, tried and tested, plenty of success has been enjoyed with this cam profile.

Doesn't mean the 270 is rubbish tho i just think with that turbo a 285 will suit it more.

If it's a T2/T25 hybrid the 270 might be better suited.

I personally don't think you need to go too wild on the cam when going for moderate power, even a standard cam will get 200bhp its just the 270 helps it a lot more and gives more mid-range
You can use standard springs with the 270, a vernier is a good idea for any cam allows you to adjust the cam timing to gain the most out of it and alter the power band abit too

Sorry to hi jack, I have a turbo technics stage 2 t25 hybrid, .48 cold side .63 rear

Would I be benefit more with a 270? It's a bit laggy on a standard cam with the .63, so I was planning on a 285, but now I'm not sure after reading this :D

lee the 63 rear on them is near as makes no difference same size as a .49

id personally go for the 285

i had the 270 back when i was on the oe t2 turbo and i must say it really did improve the mid/high range
