View Full Version : Mot?
Would my car fail on some of my dash lights not lighting up like oil and battery light? Tried to fix this issue but for the life of me I can't
Yes, but you might get lucky and the guy not notice.

Fingers crossed he wont notice, if the cars already running he probably wont, didnt know it came into MOT, warning light?!
It's a new ish thing around a year or so back, all dash warning lights must work. Same if your car came with an air bag and at the time of test there is no air bag steering wheel, that's a fail! But this can be down to how picky the mot tester is and if he likes you or not to.
They are looking for abs/airbag lights etc on modern cars...if you go to a fair garage it should be ok.
You want to get the batt light working ideally, you might need it working to complete the charging circuit? Both faults are probably related to the engine bay loom, clean the connector of doom with contact cleaner
Jay take it MOT by keys il have a word with keiron there to sort it out for ya ;)
Battery light aswell... Are the two spades on the right way round on the alternator as if they arent it stays on constant
bulbs in the clocks ok?
