as pre posted about spluttering probs ive been having ive changed plugs / leads /dizzy / rotor arm /aei / fuel relay/ ect I seem to still have the prob ?? ive got a rebuilt stock carb with 2nd stage jet drilled to around 1.3 could this be my prob at all ?

I couldn't see the thread, where do you spluttering problems happen?
The 2nd stage comes in when on boost to give you extra fueling. A 1.3mm second stage will most likely fuel you for fairly high boost but over fuel if you're not running much over standard.

im running around 14/15 psi stock carb apart from 2nd stage around 1.3
the splutter kicks in as coming on boost around 3 to 4k

If your only running 14-15psi on a standard T2 then 1.3mm 2nd stage is abit big, i ran that size before for 24psi

Its a possibility mate if the fault occurs when it comes on boost

it seems strange as if I can remember back it happened after takeing it from 1.2 to 1.3
ive changed every thing else I think

Have you thoroughly cleaned the carb?

yh a few times and rebuilt it

Check the reference pipe going to the fpr too, incase that's got a split in it

wheres that is it some where near the master cylinder ?
